This was a single platform station on a single track line.
The platform was on the north side of the line and there was a small goods yard, to the north approached from Dykes Junction just to the east.
A loop was laid in between the goods yard siding at Dykes Junction which passed over Skares Viaduct en route.
Two new houses now occupy the station site.
