This is a folly above the Black Linn Falls of the River Braan. The folly was originally built by John Murray, the 3rd Duke of Atholl, in 1758. It was rebuilt grandly as a hall of mirrors reflecting the falls in 1783 as a memorial to the blind bard Ossian. The folly is in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. A pleasant woodland walk approaches the site from a car park and the echo of the roar of the falls in the antechamber of the building and viewing platform is impressive.
