Home of Dr William Clark, who worked the Wester Moffat Colliery.
The land was left, along with his fortune, to William Towers on condition he add Clark to his name (he became William Towers-Clark).
William Towers-Clark had built a mansion by architect Charles Wilson in 1860.
It is now Wester Moffat Hospital.
