Established in 1829, rail served from 1830 by the Whiterigg Branch of the Ballochney Railway. Developed by Robert Miller and Robert Addie (Dundyvan Iron Works).
Closed 1880s. Remains exposed by open cast in the area during the 1990s which removed surface building, underground structures and the former railway lines.
