The Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway has been closed due to a landslip of earth and rock debris onto the tracks of the railway.
The railway was not operating at the time and no one was hurt. The train has not been damaged either.
It^s thought to have been a result of combined heavy rain and freezing easterly wind conditions which have created an unstable section of banking near the middle bridge section of the track.
