Summerlee Heritage Centre: Glasgow Corporation No.1017 working on the tramway at the Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life at Coatbridge, on 26th July 2017. This tram was originally built as open-top double-decker No.17 for Paisley Corporation Tramways in 1904. The system was taken over by Glasgow Corporation Tramways in 1923 and in 1925 No.17 was rebuilt as an enclosed single-decker and renumbered 1017. It continued in service until 1960, latterly as a training car. Discovered some years later in a garden at Cambuslang, it arrived at Summerlee in 1991 where a full restoration took place and 2017 marked the 25th anniversary of its re-entry into service. (The Summerlee Museum occupies the site of the former Summerlee Iron Works that lasted for 90 years from 1836 to 1926.)
