/11/1858	Limerick and Ennis Railway Bridge over the River Shannon is approved after modification.
17/01/1859	Limerick and Ennis Railway Longpavement to Clarecastle opened. Trains provided by Waterford and Limerick Railway.
26/03/1859	Limerick and Ennis Railway Ennis Junction to Longpavement opened.
20/06/1859	Limerick and Ennis Railway Clarecastle to Ennis opened.
14/11/1859	Limerick and Ennis Railway Takes over train operation.
22/04/1861	Limerick and Ennis Railway Waterford and Limerick Railway works line.
/ /1869	Athenry and Ennis Junction Railway Line opened from Ennis (Limerick and Ennis Railway) to Athenry (Midland Great Western Railway). Line operated by company.
02/07/1887	West Clare Railway Passenger services begin. Opened from Ennis (Limerick and Ennis Railway) to Miltown Malbay.
/ /1893	Limerick and Ennis Railway Absorbed by Waterford and Limerick Railway.
/ /1909	Limerick and Ennis Railway Bridge over River Shannon replaced.
/ /1928	Ardnacrusha Siding Built from the former Limerick and Ennis Railway just west of the Shannon Viaduct to Ardnacrusha where a hydro power station was under construction, Ardnacrusha Hydro Power Station. A narrow gauge system, dating from 1925, connected Limerick Docks to Ardnacrusha to O'Briensbridge, around 60 miles of track within the system.
05/04/1976	Limerick and Ennis Railway Athenry and Ennis Junction Railway Athenry and Tuam Railway Athenry and Tuam Extension to Claremorris Railway Closed to regular passenger services. Sunday specials to Claremorris continue into the 1980s.
04/08/1984	Limerick and Ennis Railway Re-opened for Thursday only services between Limerick and Ennis.
12/04/1988	Limerick and Ennis Railway Becomes a two days a week service between Limerick and Ennis.
16/05/1994	Limerick and Ennis Railway Re-opens to passengers between Limerick and Ennis, six days a week.
/ /2001	Limerick and Ennis Railway Athenry and Ennis Junction Railway Goods trains cease.
