Hindley
142012 leaves Hindley heading for Manchester via Bolton in July 2010. Ahead of the unit is Crow Nest Junction, then still controlled by a mechanical signalbox, where the direct line to Manchester via Atherton splits from the Westhoughton and Bolton line. The other rails on this former four track main line were to the right of the island platform from which this picture was taken.
