Penistone

Looking from the top of the Penistone Station entrance road in 2014 towards the old main building sited alongside the former Woodhead electrified lines. The main passenger entrance was just beyond the far lighting column, in the gable end roof section of the single storey building. See image 49605. The entrance to the still operational Huddersfield line platforms is in the left background with the platform shelter roof visible. The Trans Pennine Trail now runs alongside the Woodhead line westbound island platform.
