Early days on the East Lancashire Railway and RSH 7683/1951, otherwise known as Meaford No.1, is on the short Castlecroft Goods demonstration line that preceded the link to the main railway. The loco was named after the power station where it spent its working life prior to coming to Bury. It later hauled the reopening specials to Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall but its very small wheels were not really suited to ELR passenger trains and in 1996 it was sold on to the North Tyneside Steam Railway where it still resides.
