Scarborough Road Junction
View south through Scarborough Road overbridge in Norton near Malton on 10th December 2018. The junction, where the line from Pilmoor met the two track spur from the York to Scarborough line was approximately where the photograph was taken from. The junction was complex in that the left hand spur ran into the Pilmoor line which ran to a headshunt, whereas the right hand line ran ahead to join up with the line from Driffield. The lines were connected by two crossovers forming a long reversing loop which also allowed through running from Pilmoor to Driffield at the headshunt end.
