Springfield was perhaps a surprising station to escape Beeching, but it became unstaffed early with a peak hours only service. While the rest of Scotland's stations generally have more trains than they ever had, Springfield has only 2 Up and 3 Down trains a day. The 1759 to Edinburgh is up on the not very busy board. Trains pull up clear of the 1847 platform level and passengers crunch through red gravel - West Highland style. Seen on 23 July 2019.
