Monte
Looking up Caminho de Comboio, a road on Madeira that was built on the trackbed of the old rack railway from Funchal up to Monte. This picture was taken on 23rd March 2013, 70 years after the railway closed. The top of the wall on the right is level, giving some idea of the steepness of the railway, and this replacement road.
