Officially opened in December 2016, Edinburgh Gateway train/tram interchange was quickly dubbed a 'multi-million pound white elephant' by the media. The south face of the interchange building is seen here bathed in January sunshine one month after opening, with a tram leaving for York Place amid landscaping works still in progress. Note the passengers through the glass on the left descending the escalator from the main station to reach the tram platforms. The lines passing below the railway/tramway link bridge continue as far as Gogar tram depot.
