The view north eastwards towards Fleetwood Ferry and the old Fleetwood station site in August 2012. See image 59683, a map from a century earlier. Across the Wyre estuary Knott End can be seen. The car park is on the site of the old Knott End Railway station and the line ran along the edge of the houses that now overlook the golf course. The slipway used by the local ferry points towards Fleetwood. Near the bottom left of the picture, the green space just beyond the boating lake, a pitch and putt course, once also had a 15-inch miniature railway circling it but this was lifted around 1982.
