Headbolt Lane
There are three platforms at the new Headbolt Lane station. Two for Merseyrail services and a third for Northern trains towards Wigan behind the black screen. There are aspirations to extend the battery powered EMUs towards Wigan but the new fleet needs to be introduced across all the network first. 777146 stands at the buffers after arriving from Liverpool Central.
