View west, west of Blairenbathie Mine, in an area mined for many years. Blairenbathie Mine operated from the 1940s to 1962. Its headshunt was on the right hand side of the forest track. Curving off to the right was the line to Blairenbathie Colliery, which operated from the 1890s to 1926.
