Highgate
New footbridge under construction across Stanhope Road at Highgate on Friday, 7th February 2025. This will link two halves of what is now the Parkland Walk footpath (after the original bridge was deemed unsafe) but used to be the ex-GNR Northern Heights branch from Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace that almost became part of the London Underground Northern Line but closed instead in 1954. A pity this bridge does not signify the reopening of the line which has been suggested many times. (See image 90580 from August 2024, for further details of this.)
