East Ham

Exterior of East Ham station, LU District and Hammersmith & City Lines, seen from passing new electric bus EBD 40 on route 101 from Wanstead to Beckton, on 14th January 2025. This station was originally opened by the LT&SR in 1858 and first served by District Line trains in 1902. It has two disused platforms, closed by BR Eastern Region when the ex-LTSR was electrified in 1962. The LTSR emblem can still be seen on the stanchions supporting the canopies at the surviving LU platforms (see image no. 77799 from 2021.
