Falahill Summit: Localised flooding is apparent in fields around Falahill following several days of rain in mid February 2020. The passing train is the ScotRail 0911 Edinburgh Waverley - Tweedbank.

Barry Docks: Bulleid West Country light pacific 34101 'Hartland' looking almost ready to work stands between other Bulleid pacifics on Barry Dump awaiting its fate in 1967. The loco was eventually rescued and, as of early 2021, is undergoing a major overhaul on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. See image [[54110]] for a view of its tender at a site near York

Millerhill Junction: 37153 propels a wiring train into the ECML electrification yard at Millerhill Junction in 1990.

Thorpe-le-Soken: The signal box at Thorpe-le-Soken station, Essex, on 18th September 2020. The lines to Clacton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze diverge just to the east of the station, in which direction this view is facing.

Braidhurst Viaduct: Standard 9F 2-10-0 92019 heads tender first across Braidhurst viaduct, on its way from Motherwell MPD to Larbert to take charge of the ICI Soda Ash train to Wallerscote in Cheshire. This was one of the last regular steam workings north of the border, on 10th May 1967.

Kilmalcolm: One of Corkerhill shed's Fairburn tanks no 42190 casts a shadow over Kilmacolm as it pulls away from the station on 21 April 1954 with a train from St Enoch to Princes Pier.

Golborne South: 390050 heads south passing the site of Golborne (South) station, which closed to passengers in 1961, on 22nd February 2021. The tracks diverge where the platform once stood but the only surviving building is the goods shed, just visible on the left.

Morecambe: The daily Heysham Port to Leeds service has just arrived at Morecambe on 11 February 2010. The service reverses here before the short run to Lancaster where it will reverse again before heading to Leeds. Ten years later 144006 moved into preservation with the Cambrian Heritage Railway, running to Gobowen under its own power with sister unit 144007.
