Auchtermuchty: Wide view looking north from alongside the B936 towards Auchtermuchty in September 2010. The station was located to the south of the town and sat roughly midway between Mawcarse Junction and Ladybank on the Fife & Kinross line. Auchtermuchty lost its passenger service in 1950 although the line continued to be used for freight for several more years. The old station building has since been incorporated within what is now a storage site used by a furniture retailer and can be seen here sandwiched between a large warehouse and the filled in road bridge.

Port Glasgow Junction: BR Standard tank 80110 approaching Port Glasgow Junction on 20 July 1963 with a Gourock - Glasgow Central train. Note the building once occupied by the [[Gourock Ropeworks]] Co Ltd, manufactures of rope, canvas and sailcloth, whose premises once occupied land on both sides of the line here prior to closure in 1976. The category A listed building has since been refurbished as privately owned flats situated between the railway and the A8.

Plaistow: LUL C stock, on a Hammersmith & City Line service from Barking to Hammersmith via Paddington, departing from Plaistow station in east London, also served by LUL District Line trains, on 5th February 2013. To the right are the disused platforms, closed in 1962, on the C2C line from Fenchurch Street to Tilbury and Shoeburyness. The C stock trains were withdrawn from service in 2014, severing the London Underground's final link with the 1960s.

Charlestown Goods Signal Box: The upper cross bar of the damaged bufferstops at Charlestown has now been pushed back to rest on the lower bar. A fuller repair seems a very unlikely prospect!

Kenyon Junction: Over fifty years after the last train ran on the Leigh Loop, between Kenyon Junction and Patricroft, the trackbed running north east from Kenyon Junction is still easily spotted. This view is from the B5207 overbridge in February 2021, with the old station site behind the camera. A short distance to the north of here the trackbed meets the East Lancashire Road and beyond that the A579 Atherleigh Way road, to Leigh and Atherton, has been built on the alignment, also obliterating several closed station sites.

Hadnock Halt: Just South of Hadnock Halt towards Monmouth, this part of the trackbed is private - the stile allows access to a footpath to the right, and the path visible must have been made by farm animals. Still a nice view.
