Carstairs: The rear end of a GNER Kings Cross - Glasgow Central service about to disappear under the station footbridge at a rain soaked Carstairs in December 2004. The train was accelerating away north, having negotiated the slow speed approach to the station through the tight curves off the Edinburgh line (see image [[7235]]).

St Germains Level Crossing: St Germains signalbox, seen from a North Berwick-bound DMU in 1974. Reduced to a gate box three years later, it was closed in 1985.

Bandon: A surviving 3/4 mile post on the former trackbed of the CB&SCR now laid out as a walkway between Bandon and the now removed Innishannon Viaduct.

Worsley: Worsley station closed in 1969, along with the loop line through Tyldesley and Leigh to Kenyon Junction. This view on 6th April 2021 looks north along the greenway that passes through the surviving sections of platform. Just to the north of the bridge is Roe Green Junction where the loop diverged from the line to Bolton Great Moor Street (closed 1954). Today it is the junction of two popular greenways.

Colinton Tunnel: Work on the murals in Colinton Tunnel was completed for Easter 2021. This particular one is quite spectacular.

Carluke: The large goods shed at Carluke in 2017. Although no longer needed by the railway it has at least been put to good use for other purposes.

Rawyards Wagon Works: This view looks north east from Baird Street along the route to Whiterigg and on to Dykehead Junction and the Ballochney Colliery lines, for which the Ballochney Railway was named. There had been a rail served brick works to the right. Behind the camera was the Rawyards wagon works, station and junction.
