Oxford: 1Z72, Steam Dreams excursion from Haywards Heath to Oxford on 13th July 2024 was hauled by LMS/BR 46100 'Royal Scot', seen here in Oxford station. Outbound, it travelled via Kensington Olympia, Gerrards Cross and Bicester. The return took it to Didcot, the GWML and then around London.

Muirhouse South Junction: Closure of the WCML for engineering work on 14 th March 2004 resulted in some diversions via Kilmarnock. 57312 is in charge of the 11.25 Glasgow Central - London Euston as it passes Muirhouse South Junction (formerly Strathbungo Junction). The lines to the left are for the Cathcart Circle and behind the locomotive is the connection to Larkfield Junction.

Torpoint Ferry: Chain ferry Plym II, built by Ferguson Shipbuilders Ltd in 2005, approaches Devonport in 2009. It is one of three vessels which operate the Torpoint Ferry crosses over the Hamoaze between Torpoint and Devonport.

Reedham Ferry: The chain driver Reedham Ferry makes yet another crossing of the River Yare, on 15th July 2024. The present vessel is now forty years old, having been built at Oulton Broad in 1984. Early predecessor vessels were hand drawn by a capstan before motorised ferries were used.

Acharn Siding: This masonry bridge carried the Killin Railway over the Allt Lairig Cheile, which flows north from the small lochan beside Glenoglehead Crossing to join the Dochart at Acharn. This view shows the north side of the bridge.

South Acton: Bollo Lane level crossing and obsolete Bollo Lane Junction signal box, London Overground Stratford to Richmond line, just south of South Acton station, at 15.23 on Saturday 20th July 2024. Turning out of Chiswick Business Park, on the site of the former London Transport Chiswick Bus Works, closed in 1990, is preserved Routemaster RM 188 on a free ride for visitors to the 70th anniversary celebrations of these iconic London buses. The event continued over the weekend.
