Interiors: The interior of part of a Norrtåg X62 EMU showing the guard's room and a mini-bistro. The train was en route to Östersund from Järpen. The extreme cold, -30 Celsius, rendered the heating inoperable; however the guard moved the few passengers into one small section, got hold of some small electric fan heaters from the driver's cabs and gave passengers the choice of free coffee/tea/hot chocolate from the mini-bistro.

Darlington [Bank Top]: Darlington station, previously Darlington Bank Top, seen from the ex-12.00 'Highland Chieftain' service from King's Cross to Inverness (which I travelled on as far as Edinburgh Waverley), calling at 14.21 on Friday, 31st May 2024. My late mother, when a 12 years old girl, was evacuated to Darlington when the London "Blitz" of World War Two intensified in 1941 and where mum remained for the duration.

Diss: Greater Anglia 755333 leaves Diss on the rear of a Norwich to Liverpool Street service on 13th July 2024. Most trains on these services are operated by 12-car Class 745 electrics but this one was made up of three hybrid 755s, two 4-car and this 3-car. The station is some distance from the town centre but is staffed and enjoys a basic half-hourly interval service to Norwich or London.
