Hest Bank: Not your usual TPE working. 397003, running under special headcode 3E99, ran from Longsight to Crewe (reverse) and then to Doncaster Works via the WCML, Edinburgh and the ECML on 25th September 2024, seen here approaching the level crossing at Hest Bank.
Walthamstow Central: Mural on up platform at Walthamstow Central, London Overground Chingford to Liverpool Street line, at 15.04 on Saturday, 5th October 2024.
Princes Street Gardens: 47414 light loco at Edinburgh Princes Street Gardens on its way to Waverley on 13th August 1979. One of the 47401-420 generator batch of Class 47s, which worked the East Coast Main Line services with Deltics for many a year, so a common 47 here. What a great place it was to watch the trains here back in those days.
Blackford: A ScotRail Inter7City heads north east towards Blackford.
Southport: A Steamport Southport open day, with static exhibits in Southport station, on 11th September 1982. One exhibit was Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 44806, at that time named 'Magpie' after the TV show. Picture of Mr Steel in the Fireman's position taken by someone else. The preservation group operating Steamport was established in 1971, opening its doors to the public in 1974. The group, their stock and exhibits transferred to Preston Dock in 2000 to become the present day Ribble Steam Railway and celebrated their 50th anniversary in May 2024.
Gleneagles: A non-stop service passes south through Gleneagles.
Leven [2nd]: Leven station in April 1968. The shot is looking east and the DMU which has terminated here will cross over to the other platform for the return journey to join the mainline. The signal box can just be made out at the other side of the main building. Passenger services ended as from 06/10/1969 and the line closed completely between here and East Fife Central Junction.
