Knightsbridge: View from top of escalator towards the Brompton Road exit at Knightsbridge station, LU Piccadilly Line, during a brief break in the passenger flow, at 13.35 on Monday, 4th November 2024. This station was opened in 1906 but this additional escalator, subway and entrance/exit at the western end was not added until 1934 by the LPTB. It was regarded as sufficiently close to Brompton Road station, between here and South Kensington, to allow that station's closure in the same year.

Cirencester Town: The branch from Kemble to Cirencester Town closed to passengers as from 6th April 1964 with goods traffic lasting a bit longer until 4th October 1965. After standing basically derelict for a number of years, planning permission was approved in 1973 for the conversion of the station forecourt to become the town bus station and this was how it looked in October 1979. No buses admittedly but a few hopeful passengers.
