Upton: Upton, an unstaffed station serving a housing area on the western outskirts of Birkenhead. This view looks towards Heswall on a wet 16th October 2024. The facilities are very basic but there is now a 45 minute interval service connecting with the Merseyrail Wirral line service at Bidston, a very short distance away, and over 18,000 passengers used the station in 2022/23.

Bay Horse: Standing in for the more usual Colas 70 or 56, GBRf 66792 passes Bay Horse with the Carlisle to Chirk logs on 17th October 2024. This train had broken its journey at Carnforth for 24 hours, probably due to lines around North East Wales being blocked by flooding the previous day, although it was recorded on Realtime as 'delayed due to loading luggage' - should that have been 'Loggage'?
