Cliburn: Cliburn lies halfway between Appleby and Penrith on the Eden Valley Railway and the site of the former station has seen dramatic redevelopment in recent years. The station was closed in 1956, six years before the line itself, but almost 70 years on the site is still a hive of activity. The station building has been redeveloped into a private residence but there is also a small caravan park on the site, just to the right of the picture. The signal box, see image [[97272]] and weigh house are available to rent out for holiday accommodation.
Elderslie Junction: English Electric Type 4 No D223 is cautiously crossing the main Paisley to Johnstone road as it approaches Elderslie on the line from Paisley Canal on 1 September 1965.

Tulloch: 37408 waits to pass a passenger service at Tulloch, while working the afternoon Corpach to Mossend service on 21st July 1988. As per usual for my visits, the weather was cloudy and dull.

Crieff East Signal Box: This is a 1997 view of Duchlage Court looking east from Duchlage Road. The east signal box was on the right and lines to Perth and Gleneagles followed, roughly, the road. Off to the left were the locomotive sheds, sidings and cattle pens. There has been a great deal of development in this area since the photograph was taken.
Aberdeen: Aberdeen. Class 5MT 73149 and D5323 at Aberdeen station, south-end. 1959.
