Wrexham Central [1st]: Wrexham Central, seen here in April 1969, opened in 1887 as a terminus but in 1895 became a through station with the opening of a line to Ellesmere. It reverted to terminus status in 1962 when the line to Ellesmere was closed and in the following decades saw the usual reduction in facilities and track layout. Finally in 1998 the station was moved some 400 yards to the west and the original station site was, as far as I know, redeveloped.

Kirkby Thorpe Gypsum Works: Colas Rail 43303 passing the southern entrance to New Biggin British Gypsum, Kirkby Thore, working 1Q13, 1423 Carlisle to York on 10th February 2025. 43357 on the rear. In October 2024, the flow of gypsum transferred from DB Cargo to Freightliner, who route the train via the Tyne Valley to Kingmoor Yard, where the loco runs round before heading south on the S&C. Reaching a signal just beyond this bridge, the train then reverses over the crossover into the works from the south. Departing trains exit from the north, directly onto the down line, retracing the route to Tees Dock.

Brunthill Siding: Rockcliffe Road Bridge ETC/261. Will we seen trains on this line again? I do not think there has been a train on those rails for a long time.
