Towcester: Those angry clouds can't do worse than Dr. Beeching. View looks from the Blakesley direction towards the Towcester bypass. The trackbed is the barren patch to the left of the hedge. Towcester station was away to the left of this view, near the rail bridge over the A5. A Tesco store now occupies the site.
Perth: 67012 waits in Perth with the southbound 'Safeway' train from Inverness, alongside 37401 on the 'Royal Scotsman', 2003.
Polmadie Shed: A4 Pacific 4498 'Sir Nigel Gresley', beautifully restored to LNER Garter Blue livery, at Polmadie on 19th May 1967. 'Sir Nigel' was due to haul a special to Aberdeen the next day.
Ayr MPD: Railfair Open Day at Ayr Depot, Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th October 1983. Static exhibits ftom Left to right, an unidentified Class 87, 55002 Deltic 'The Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry' and 60009 'Union of South Africa' and an unidentified Class 37. All had access available.
Alford: Happier times at Alford in May 2017 as the train sets of for Haughton Park, prior to closure of the line later that year. After some six years of closure the line reopened as the Alford Valley Community Railway in August 2023.
Motherwell: 385043 working under Head Code 2B95 for Glasgow Central passing under the A721 bridge at Motherwell on 18th February 2025. The bridge was built by James Goodwin & Co Bridge Builders in 1885.

Brighouse: A young enthusiast seems pleased to see GBRf 66766 'Gail Richardson' on a loaded biomass train from Liverpool to Drax, heading eastwards through Brighouse on 29th January 2025.
