Liverpool Lime Street: Transport for Wales 197034 arriving into Liverpool Lime Street on 17th February 2025 with the 0943hrs from Chester. This lone arch joins the two sections of the bridge that carries Copperas Hill Road over the line and despite looking a little strange it definitely adds to the character of the station!

Bathgate: At first glance, this Bathgate shot from March 2005 doesn't look right, but at that time what appeared to be double track was in fact two single lines, one for passenger trains and the other for freight traffic. This arrangement started at Carmondean Junction west of Livingston North, the line to that point being single from Bathgate Junction. See image [[6841]]. 66250 is heading away from Bathgate with the 13.24 to Washwood Heath as 156445 heads towards the station with a working from Edinburgh.

Lancaster Green Ayre: Greyhound Bridge, Lancaster, which once carried the Midland route to Morecambe over the River Lune. That route was later electrified but it closed in 1966 and the bridge was converted for road use soon after. After fulfilling this onerous role for many years it was more recently fully refurbished and continues to carry traffic leaving Lancaster for Morecambe and Carnforth.

Chester: Transport For Wales 197034 stands in Chester station, having arrived with 1F96 from Lime Street, on 17th February 2025.
