North Leith: The end of the line for the former North Leith goods depot in April 1968, with track recovery underway. The passenger service was withdrawn in 1947 (it was sited to the right of this shot) and from May 1952, presumably to avoid confusion with the former CR Leith North station, the goods depot was renamed Leith Citadel. As far as I know the station building is still in existence.

Crewe: Transport for Wales DVT 82227 arriving into Crewe on 17th February 2025, working 1W57 1053hrs Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly. 82227 was built in 1988 for British Railways for use on the ECML. After leaving LNER at the end of 2019, the DVT was transferred to Grand Central where it was part of the operator's failed plans to begin operating between London Euston and Blackpool North. It was then bought by TfW. 67016 was on the rear of the train.

Warrington Central: It was the signal that took my attention as I walked between Bank Quay and Central stations in Warrington in November 1967. A DMU heading to Liverpool and some traditional terraced housing make up the rest of the shot.

Methven: Although nothing remains of the terminus at Methven the site can still be identified as it is a small industrial estate. This view looks north to the former station.
