Bunchrew: In May 2012, 158701 approaches the open crossing at Bunchrew, on route to Inverness, and is about to pass through the site of the former station which closed in 1960. In November 2023 the crossing was upgraded by Network Rail and half barriers were installed.

London Victoria: 67021 brings the ECS into London Victoria for the steam hauled 'Belmont Pullman' trip around Kent via Dover on 6th March 2025. Merchant Navy 35028 'Clan Line' was on the leading end out of view.

Mossley Hill: TfW 197047 rolls non-stop through Platform 4 at Mossley Hill with a Chester to Lime Street service on 5th February 2025. Services on this route through Runcorn resumed in 2019, after a forty year gap, when the Halton Curve from Runcorn to the Chester - Warrington line was refurbished and reopened.
