Colton Junction: 45231 at Colton Junction, heading to York with the 'Scarborough Spa Express' on 13th August 2009.
Bacup: Very few pieces of railway infrastructure still exist in Bacup, with even trackbed formations built over. This small bridge over a public footpath is an exception. It was on the Rochdale line, a short distance from where it diverged from the Rawtenstall line immediately outside Bacup station. It saw its last rail movements when Bacup Shed closed in 1954 and is isolated now as there is no trace of the railway on either side of it.
West Hampstead Thameslink: 700057, Thameslink to St. Albans City, arriving at West Hampstead Thameslink at 13.55 on Saturday, 1st February 2025.
Reading West: 70001 heads the 4O90 Leeds to Southampton through Reading West on 18th February 2025. At certain times of the day there are a number of freights through here and it can be busy.
Haymarket: Tram 255, in striking yellow advertising livery, passes in front of Haymarket Station, heading for Newhaven.
Killiecrankie: Major bridge renewal work has completed in Killiecrankie. Network Rail has completed a £3m project to renew Rannoch Road bridge (off the B8079) in Killiecrankie. [This bridge crossed over the Highland Main Line at the former Killiecrankie station.]
Balgowan: Balgowan Level Crossing looking west. The trackbed has been landscaped, but a cropmark can still be seen running from centre left to the distant bushes by the Pow Water on the right. From here the line continued west across low lying land, liable to flooding, to Madderty.
Carlisle Upperby Shed: Two of the rather unsuccessful Metrovick locos, D5716 and D5703, are at Carlisle Upperby Shed on 29th May 1966.
