Willesden Green [Met]: Willesden Green, looking south from the central island platform served by Jubilee Line trains, at 14.56 on Saturday, 15th March 2025. The platforms on the outer Metropolitan Line tracks have not been served regularly since 1940 but can be if necessary, although in all my years of London rail photography I have yet to see a train or been on one that has stopped at either of them. The canopy badly needs a fresh coat of paint,
Wolverhampton: High noon at Wolverhampton 15th January 2025. A Shrewsbury service arrives, formed by a Class 196 DMU.
Britannia: Britannia, summit of the line between Bacup and Rochdale, was also at 967ft the highest point on the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway network. In this view towards Bacup in February 2025 the bus shelter, ironically, roughly marks the location of the old summit. Britannia station was just a little further on, beyond the filled in overbridge, and only five feet lower. Around six of the eight and a half miles between Bacup and Rochdale can be walked or cycled on the old railway.
Darlington [Bank Top]: Six weekends of major engineering work in the North East saw huge strides made in Darlington station's £140m regeneration.
Pembroke Dock: D1013 Western Ranger stands at Pembroke Dock with the Pembroke Coast Express run by the Wirral Railway Circle. This tour gave the rare opportunity to visit various locations in West Wales where Westerns once worked, Milford Haven and Pembroke Dock being the highlights as Westerns were still working to Fishguard Harbour. My Late friend Tony Gale was booked on this tour and took a few pictures . The Wirral railway society ceased to exist some time ago but are remembered by the very large amount of Rail Tours they ran back in the day. [Added by Roger Geach.]
Haymarket: 385037 nears Haymarket with the 12.55 from Dunblane as a service for Glasgow Queen Street calls at platform 4.
Moss-side Level Crossing: A lineside hut stood on the south side of the railway in Methven Moss, not far west from the signal for Moss-side Level Crossing. This view looks west towards the crossing showing the only remains of the hut - the base of its chimney.
Dundee Esplanade: 170415 has passed through the remains of Dundee Esplanade station and is heading for Edinburgh with the 12.39 from Dundee on 11th March 2025.
