Mornington Crescent: LU 1995 stock, Northern Line to Battersea Power Station, departing south from Mornington Crescent at 13.28 on Saturday, 18th January 2025. In 1958, London Transport wanted to close this station but it survived; however, it was closed at weekends from 1970 for very many years but is now open full time again. Edgware trains ceased to call here from 1924 but were restored in 1966.

Britannia: The Lee Colliery Bridge at Britannia carried an incline tramway over the Bacup to Rochdale line. The colliery closed around the end of the 19th Century but the bridge still stands, and affords access to some hillside smallholdings. This view from near New Line, the road that took its name from the railway, looks up the steep hillside towards the site of the mine workings on 19th February 2025. See image [[92023]] for the trackbed view of this splendid structure.

Appleby: Taking water at Appleby again. Jubilee No. 45596 'Bahamas, owned by The Bahamas Locomotive Society and based on the K&WVR, waits departure time at Appleby on 29th March 2025, having paused to take water working the return leg of 'The Shap Mountaineer' running as 1Z44 1508 Carlisle to Birmingham New Street. This was the first locomotive to take water from the tower since July 2024. Note also the now unusual absence of a diesel on the rear, leaving Bahamas to get the rake of immaculate Vintage Trains coaches up Ais Gill by itself!

Methven Junction: This is an aerial view of the site of Methven Junction, disappointingly. Nothing can be seen at ground level, but a bit of height reveals some crop marks. The view looks north towards Mains of Tippermallo Farm. To the left of the muddy strip on the left, about half way down, is where the line from Crieff came in. The Methven Branch came in above that, just above the nearer trees on the left. Crop marks showing these two approaches can be seen running towards the centre of the view. Another crop mark can be seen running from the farm going down and to the left - this was a track to the farm sidings at the junction. The line to Perth ran off to the bottom right of the view. There were still some scanty remains here until around 2006 when the site was completely cleared.
