Medstead and Four Marks: BB 34072 '257 Squadron', tender first on a Mid-Hants service on 23rd March 2025. This Bulleid light pacific is on loan from the Swanage Railway.

Inverkeithing: Totems and proper signals still ruled here in 1977. 40083 has the 1440 Edinburgh Aberdeen service with a BG on the front of the train no doubt much to the annoyance to the haulage merchants. 40083 was a York loco at the time and had no doubt worked up on one of the many overnight services on the East Coast Main Line. It was common at the time to find non SCR based 40s at work on trains like this. Scotland was great hunting grounds for class 40 haulage in those days.

Holbeck Shed: 45593 'Kolhapur', Brush Type 4 D1578 and a Peak on shed at Leeds Holbeck on 22nd May 1966.

Lostock Hall Junction: Midland Pullman 43049 'Neville Hill' eases away from its booked stop at Lostock Hall Junction, 11 minutes ahead of schedule, and joins the East Lancashire Line working the outbound leg of the 'Settle to Carlisle & Coastal Pullman' running as 1Z57, 0557 Gerrards Cross to Carlisle, on Wednesday 9th April 2025. 43046 was on the rear.

Eastleigh Works: 47593, just repainted, is pulled out of the shed at Eastleigh Works for offical pictures to be taken on 8th April 2025. 08567 is the green shunter. In the mid and late 1970s this was a Hull Botanic Gardens based 08, far away from the Southern Region. 47593 was very much an Eastfield based loco at one time.
