Glen Falloch Scots Pines: One of Eastfield’s named Class 37 diesels climbs through Glen Falloch with a northbound West Highland Line train. The photograph dates from 1982.

Keith Town: Some sheep, currently resident just outside Keith, appear to have a total disregard for their safety. This was the scene on 5th April 2025, just outwith the town, as the 16.20 service to Dufftown is brought to a halt by trespassers.

Leek: The grate of USATC S160 2-8-0 no.6046 glows cheerfully at the new temporary Leek station on 29th March 2025.

Exeter St Davids: BR Type 2 7676, later TOPS number 25326, stabled at Exeter St Davids ON 15th December 1973. A little damage to the slide sadly, but not too much to ruin the picture.

Appleby: SR Battle of Britain Class Light Pacific no. 34067 'Tangmere' makes good time as it passes beneath Roman Road, to the north of Appleby, on Saturday 29th March 2025. This was the return leg of 'The Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express', running as 1Z87 1418 Carlisle to London Euston. 47813 was on the rear.
