Healey Dell Viaduct: Looking towards Bacup on the Healey Dell Nature Trail in February 2025. The last goods train from Whitworth ran in 1967, twenty years after passenger services between Rochdale and Bacup ceased. Healey Dell Viaduct is just beyond the bend in the trackbed, while in the foreground are the 'Siamese' or as they are now known, 'Twin Bridges'. That on the left never carried trains, but did it slip down the hill after construction as local legend has it, or was it simply put in the wrong place? The latter happened in other places occasionally - see image [[18285]].
Forres [2nd]: The exterior of Forres station in February 2016. It was resited in 2017 when the track layout was altered. The building in this shot closed on 5th October and the current location opened on 17th October. For a photograph from 1965 see image [[87513]].
