Dalmeny Junction: A poor quality shot, from circa 1973, at Dalmeny Junction looking towards Edinburgh. The E&G was closed at Winchburgh Tunnel and the Edinburgh - Queen Street and vice-versa service was operating with a reversal at Dalmeny. A lot easier for the crew when trains were push / pull operated I would imagine.
Hattersley: Another break in the clouds while descending into Manchester Airport on 28th March 2025 and the distinctive outline of Hattersley station, with its long ramp to the island platform and footbridge to the street level booking office, could be glimpsed below. I still think of Hattersley as a fairly new station but it will be fifty years old in 2028. See image [[91255]] for a platform level view.
Appleby: Locomotive Services Ltd 37409 'Loch Awe' (front) and 37401 'Mary Queen of Scots' stand in Appleby early on Wednesday 23rd April 2025 with 'The Chairman's Train' having arrived as 1Z43 0420 from Craigendoran. After breakfast, the passengers alighted and transferred into a pair of people-carriers for a ride through the Dales. The train later departed as 5Z43 0830 Appleby to Dent to pick the passengers up again for the journey back to London.
Marble Arch: The rather unwelcoming Park Lane entrance to Marble Arch station, LU Central Line, across the road from the main entrance on Oxford Street, at 14.16 on Monday, 17th February 2025. Despite the lovely sunshine, it was bitterly cold.
Bo'ness: The Museum of Scottish Railways wins award for Scottish community archive. With the award presented today, seen at Bo'ness, here is Vicky Kerrigan who manages the SRPS collection.
Great Rocks Quarry: As the plane descended towards Manchester on 28th March 2025, there was a sudden break in the clouds and the huge Derbyshire quarry at Great Rocks was visible. Towards the bottom right hand corner, Great Rocks signal box can just be seen by the road bridge [[77365]].
Glenfarg: This view looks west over the M90 towards Glenfarg. The motorway occupies the trackbed of the Glenfarg route, part of the North British's main line from Edinburgh to Perth over the Forth Bridge. This footbridge crosses the motorway where a road once crossed over the railway immediately south of the station. About 2.25 miles of the former line is occupied by the motorway.
Bledlow: 50015, a visitor to the Chinnor Railway for its gala weekend, seen near Bledlow in lovely sunshine on 5th April 2025.
