Scorton [Lancashire] [2nd]: West Coast Railways has restored 57008 to main line service after a long period out of use. In gleaming maroon paintwork, the newly shopped loco passed Scorton on 16th June 2025 with 57012, running from Southall to Carnforth with 60163 'Tornado' and two support coaches after a weekend on railtour duties.

Blisworth Hill: Well Ewan, I see your cow near Strathyre (image [[92890]]); and I raise you. Here is a horse near the South portal of Blisworth canal tunnel, adjacent to the 4 foot gauge tramway which ran over Blisworth Hill while the tunnel was still being bored (as in cut, not disinterested). I was walking South, which made me guilty of putting the cart before the horse. (see also my image [[81610]])

Tunbridge Wells West: Day One of the Spa Valley's Cuckoo Line Gala in June 2025. U Class 2-6-0 31806 is visiting from the Swanage Railway, running as 31803. Seen at Tunbridge Wells West. The bacon rolls for sale in the buffet car were well recommended.

Buchanan Street Tunnel West Signal Box: 60027 approaching Buchanan Street with 10.00am ex Dundee (West) 'Merlin' in August 1964. On the right are the lifted sidings for the extensive Buchanan Street goods yards which closed in 1962.
