This was a short lived terminus in Aberdeen, south of the later Aberdeen Guild Street, which replaced it in 1854, and north of Ferryhill Junction. Nothing remains of this former terminus. Contemporary pictures show a station with a trainshed just north of the Dee Viaduct.
This location was to the west of the Wellington Bridge, a road bridge which crossed the River Dee.
The route north into Aberdeen itself was awkward. It was built along the shoreline of the River Dee, partly on viaduct, and on reclaimed land. This is known as 'The Arches'. Originally double track this was later considerably broadened out.
The Aberdeen Guild Street terminus was built to the west of the Upper Aberdeen Victoria Dock next to the inches (now part of the Aberdeen dock network).
A considerable amount of land has since been reclaimed to the east side of the line, allowing enlargement of the docks into the former river course and the addition of roads.
