During the Second World War two loops were installed on the south side of the line in the east of Annat Point. From the loops a siding ran from the east end to serve a jetty.
The sidings survived the war. There was occasional livestock traffic when the auction mart was moved from nearby Nevis Bridge to Annat.
The sidings remained connected to the line in the 1980s but have since been largely removed (portions of embedded track survive can still be found).
