This was a sea pier located by the Caledonian Canal's sea lock at Corpach where the canal descends from Corpach Basin to enter the far north end of Loch Linnhe. It marked the northern limit of the route of larger MacBraynes vessels which operated south to locations such as Fort William, Kentallen and Oban. Smaller MacBraynes vessels ran north via the canal to Fort Augustus and Inverness.
