Brock Water Troughs

Opened on the Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway.

Description

These water troughs were to the north of Brock station. There was a water tank on the west side of the line, later two. The troughs were established at some point in the 1860s to allow locomotives to take water without stopping and survived until at least the late 1950s.
