This loading ramp was located in the northern part of the marshalling yard at Faslane Military Port. A series of sidings terminated end on against the ramp. The sidings were approached from the headshunts at Faslane Port station. To the north, over the approach line from Faslane Junction, was a second ramp served by further sidings. Further north, over the re-routed Rhu-Garelochhead road, was (and still are) a tank farm, army camp and further tank farm.
After the northern part of the site was taken over by Metal Industries (Salvage) Ltd the ramp sidings were altered and a large two road rail served building erected here. A shed was also erected over two of the northern ramp sidings.
