Ferryhills Signal Box (1911-1934)

Opened on the Forth Bridge Railway.

Description

This signal box was located on the west side of the line north of North Queensferry Tunnel.

The box was located opposite a siding for Ferrytoll Quarry which was on the east side of the line. This siding was approached from the south. There was a crossover and a short siding on the west side, just south of the box from which it was approached.

Ferrytoll Quarry had a tramway which passed underneath just to the south.

The box closed in 1934.
