The northern approach to the Forth Bridge, south of North Queensferry, was controlled by Forth Bridge North Signal Box. This was on the high embankment north of the bridge and on the east side. The box opened with the bridge and was replaced in 1919 before being replaced by the Edinburgh signalling Centre in 1979.
