This station was immediately north of Glasterlaw Junction on the main line north from Perth via Forfar [2nd] to Aberdeen, the Strathmore line.
This was a two platform station. The main station building was on the northbound platform.
There was a goods yard on the northbound side, approached from the north. A signal box was at the north end, on the east side of the line by a level crossing.
The station closed in 1951. The signal box and line closed in 1967, the goods yard having closed previously.
This station is now a private house. The level crossing to the north end of the site had (1996) still a number of semaphore signals although the posts were currently lying on the ground.
