Description
This colliery was located to the west of what later became the Westfield Opencast site. It was served by a long siding of the Lochore Branch (North British Railway).
Its location later became the main railway loading point of the opencast with a new railway layout, Westfield Disposal Point [1st]. This was later replaced by a loading point in the nearby yard, Westfield Disposal Point [2nd]. This was reached by a conveyor and later still loading was by means of backhoe loaders (diggers).
